Dear Mr. Stanley;

I caught the end of a re-run interview with you on PBS Fresh Air yesterday.  I admire your music very much, and hearing that brought back memories of seeing you play.  I was a student at Morehead State University in Kentucky, and sometime around 1987-88, you played in a small town near there.  I want to say it was Olive Hill, but am not sure.  Anyway, you changed me.  I had never before heard anything like that, having grown up in the Chicago region.  Your singing affected me deeply, and I have never since then been without at least one of your recordings in my car.  And many at home.  Thank you so much for all the thrills & chills.
thanks, Teague Speckman
