You may also want to see what is on the screen when you have pressed F12 just to
be sure your boot menu is up as it should be, or to find out if you're booting
from USB. For this, if you have a smart phone, there are automated applications
you can use that will read to you the text on the screen. BeMyEyes is also
another good resource from your phone that will connect you to a live person if
you prefer that method.
