"As much money as possible"? Estates? For an audiogame?

For those unfamiliar with the economics, a hundred years of audiogame sales wouldn't make enough money to represent the standard wage of a developer working in the industry for the time it takes to write even a decent title. GMA probably isn't even making enough in new sales to cover the costs of running their web server. The idea of maintaining support for even revolutionary games like those, solely for the purposes of income, is outright laughable.

GMA still supports their titles. You can still purchase them, and you can still get replacement keys for them.

Just because no new releases are forthcoming does not mean the games are unsupported or abandoned.

The games were written in vb6, not BGT. BGT came out a decade after most of GMA's games.

Finally, just to be excessively clear about this, aging does not mean abandoned or unsupported. Aging means aging, nothing more or less. GMA's games are aging, and buyers should be aware of that, but if the demos run then so will the full versions, and the existence of the demos gives new users all the testbed they need to determine if they want to spend their money on aging titles.

Hello. Then I am confused. If they are not supporting the games anymore, why
is the website still online? Why hasn't there been any official statement
from GMA games? And if they were going to do away with the website and not
updating the games, why not put the games into the abandonware category? Why
not even release the older Shades of Doom 1.0 and 1.2 games as abandonware
so people who want to remember the older versions play them? Thanks, Sky.

I wouldn't recommend buying anything from GMA Games. The reason? There is
essentially no support and their games aren't being actively maintained,
just look at how many years it's been since the last time they were updated.
Some, if not all, of their games have at least one major bug that is not
getting any attention.

Proceed at your own risk!

If it lets you, I'd just play the free version if one is available. At least
you are paying what their games are worth, nothing!
