I got past the gate and into more predicaments, this game is quite interesting. I'm running this on a chromebook using tdsr screen reader and debian bookworm. I'm using frobtads-3 which is not available in debian so if anyone is in a similar situation and wants to start playing tads games put a note up on the list and I'll send you the needed instructions.
