Hi,
I also had problem sfinding some of the camp sites and also the
ambush points. As I remember, some of them were in the ruins area
beyond the vines that required the flowers to clear them. But key is
that the ambush points were on either side of the road, so following
the road should bring you withing scanning range of them.

I don't know about copying the text, but the ambush sites will be
marked with a flag when you find them. I don't remember where all of
them are, but it's not the camp sites.
