It's an app purchases game to play on android or an iphone. First purchase is to turn off advertising or at least that's the way it once was. Now the play revenue model has moved to making video awards available in which you watch ads and get gems in exchange. There's a gem shop now in which you can buy for real money additional gems. For now, the only two uses for gems in the game are to build out your estate and to buy automations. Trust me, building out your estate however you decide to do it is well worth doing since it increases the amount of storeage in the city you can buy for each purchase of storeage. Storeage prices and automation prices and production slot prices increase as you get more of them. Everybody starts out with 100 in storeage space and each time they want to expand storeage they can buy 100 additional storeage. If you have built out your estate to level 15, then everytime you buy storeage you get 240 and you start each level with 240 in storeage.
