Hi All,

This is a test I did this morning. I plugged a different set of speakers
directly into my main computers onboard soundcard, bypassing the audio part
of the KVM switch &, I get no sound from either operating system. Does this
sound like a bad soundcard, or should I try checking something else? I just
don't know what else to check!
Take care.
Mike

Hi Again All,

My main computer is a dual boot system running XP & Windows7. Well, I don't
have any sound with either operating system! The Windows7 won't even play
systems sounds through the USB headset but, the XP system does. Is it
possible the onboard soundcard died? Thanks much, take care.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Lost Sound

Hi All,

I was saving some files when all of the sudden I lost all sound through my
desktop speakers. I tried, with my wife's sighted help, to see if anything
was muted in the control panel / Sounds & Audio Devices but, everything
looked normal to me. I went to my other computer via my KVM switch & the
speakers work with that computer. I can't get any sounds to play from my
main computer at all! I am currently using my main computer with a USB
headset. Any advice or suggestions on what to check would be greatly
appreciated. Thank you all very much.
Take care.
