Hi Don,
Thanks for your suggestion. I will have to wait to get someone to try
the factory reset on the router before I can go any further.
Take care.

I think you will need to perform a factory reset. This will restore
the original login, which for Linksys, is no username and admin as
the password. As I recall, Linksys routers will have a small hole
for the factory reset button. It will require someone to unbend a
paperclip and insert into the hole to press the button. I assume it
is located on the back of the router. After it restarts, you will
need to login and change the password and make all of the settings
changes you did originally. When configuration is complete, I save
the settings from the Administration link. This way, if I screw up
the settings at a later date or need to perform a factory reset, it
can be restored quickly.

There is just so much stuff in the world that, to me, is devoid of
any real substance, value, and content that I just try to make sure
that I am working on things that matter.

Hi,
My wife's XP laptop computer can no longer connect to the Internet.
For some reason the wireless connection is messed up.
I have a window7 laptop and I have no problem connecting.
We are using a linksys router. The other problem (and I am
wondering if this is why she lost connection) is that I cannot log
on to the IP address 192.168.1.1. For some reason the password
which I always use is invalid. Is there any way to retrieve my password?
Any suggestion and help would be greatly appreciated! My wife would
be more appreciative. Perhaps if you can help me find the solution,
she might make me some chocolate chip cookies?
Thanks and take care.
Lennie
