Several people on the Kurzweil list, use such a unit with success. I don't personally have one, but apparently there's not a specific problem.
It has been discussed that HP is no longer the preferred brand and that Canon, Epson and especially the Plustec optic book, which is not a printer but you could use it for copying and I think faxes, are faster than HP. Apparently it must also be able to use a twain driver. This is only hearsay from the Kurzweil list, but I do use a Plustec Optic book 4600 via Kurzweil mainly for scanning. Does anyone happen to know of an OCR software program that works with such units? Many thanks.
