I want to use a third party Facebook chat client application. This
requires a Facebook unique user name rather than just the email
address to log into facebook.
I eventually found where I can set the facebook user name on the main
facebook page. When I wanted to do this, though, however, I was told
I needed to verify my facebook account before I could set the user
name. I have no idea how to verify my account. I have had my Facebook
account since 2009 though i have hardly used it. I had assumed
account verification had been part of the signup process back in
2009. I am obviously missing a step. any help or advice is appreciated.
