My grandson has a Vista machine. On the soundcard he has a headset with mike plugged into the first two spots. He has a set of speakers plugged into the middle or green plug. When he uses skipe his head set works and he still can listen to music via the speakers. Now there are times when he wants to listen to music only with the headset.
