Hi Cornell and Kinstan,
Problem solved. I had my wife look at the monitor and I came to the
conclusion that the window live movie maker and photo gallery needed
to be checked and remove before it can remove the window live essential 2011.
However, window live sync still remains and I don't know the function
of this program and how important it is to window7, so I left it alone.
Thanks for your help.

just go look in the CTRL pannel under programs and features and toward the
bottom of the list if you do not hear windows live 2011 esscentials, then
its eliminated.
If the update comes back remember to hide the update.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] removing window live essential 2011 on win7
Hi,
How do I find out that window live essential 2011 is no longer on my
computer? I am using window7 64 bits home premium.
I went into programs and features and after pressing the application
key, I press enter to uncatalog it. I then press enter on the remove button.
Nothing appears to happen. All I get is the cancel button and after
waiting for a considerable amount of time, I was forced to cancel.
I am assuming that the window live essential 2011 was uncataloged and
has been removed, but it still shows up in programs and features.
How do I remove it completely from programs and features? Also, can I
remove window live sync?
any help will greatly be appreciated. Thanks.
Lennie
