Hi.  The accessibility options are mostly there for you to customize what
you need, depending on how the document was created.  If you are finding
that a particular document isn't reading correctly, you can tweak these
settings to optimize the usability of the document.  You can play with these
settings, without hurting anything, to determine which you prefer.  You
should be able to use the current release of Adobe, which really has come a
long way.

I use Adolby acrobat reader's latest build, 9.4, with JFW 6.2, 11 and 12
with no problems. Just open the app and search for update.
