Subject: [Blind-Computing] Cursor Jumping Around with Focus Using Jaws 12
Hi Folks,
Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this for themselves?
When I'm on a webpage, the focus seems to jump from one place to another,
and links aren't activating when entering on them in several cases.
The same is happening with Outlook Express, where the message will read
the one before it, or, it'll say not selected on the message after the one
I'm actually sitting on, and so I have to wait until Jaws reads the
headers of the next message before I can read the headers of the current
message I'm sitting on.
Websites are the worst though. I'll be on one part of the page, and
suddenly the focus will jump to another area of the page, or, Jaws will be
sluggish and slow to respond to my keystrokes on a webpage.
Another example I can posit is on the Yahoo Webmail site, when I'm sitting
on a message, and I'm in the first heading of the page, where the subject
line is, I'll try to tab to the add to address book link, and it jumps to
the end of the message, several links down, and so have to shift+tab up to
the link I wanted in the first place.
Again, I'm using the latest build of Jaws 12, Windows XP, Internet
Explorer 8, and Outlook Express 6.
Aside from the Yahoo mail site, located at:
http://mail.yahoo.com
I can give the following website as an example where the focus and cursor
jump around drastically, and Jaws is slow to respond:
http://www.futureshop.ca
I hope people can, either, corroborate my experiences, or have a solution
that will help me solve the issues.
Scorpio
