hello David;
give this a try;
1, navigate to your music folder,
2, highlight a song,
3, press applications key,
4, down arrow until you hear,
something like;
open with sub menu,
either right arrow to open, or just press enter.
now, arrow and look for,
choose default program.... press enter.
now, tab you should see a list of players,
arrow to highlight winamp,
now, tab around and make sure that,
always use this type of program to open these type of files, or something
like that, then tab okay, press enter.

Ok i did all that and when i go to play the file the stupid wmp still coming
up and playing the file not winamp.

Oops, now again to the right message; LOL!
Go ctrl+p to preferences, in the treeview find file types, then tab till you
find "all" button; press space on it and that should select all files; then
tab to close the preferences.

.mp3 file? When i try to play it wmp keeps coming up to play it and i want
