I do not remember when it was, many many years ago I saw a demonstration of dragon dictate when it was first released. At that time it sold for a merely $50,000. An individual, occupation unnamed, purchased two copies. His intent was to eliminate 3 recording secretaries in his office. I would guess that the quality of the program increased in relationship to the price drop. From what I remember about that demonstration it will do what you desire. -----Original Message----- From: Matt Sent: Sunday, November 14, 2010 9:17 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Blind-Computing] Seeking program for speech to text Hello, I remember dragon dictate being a program for taking the spoken word, and having the computer print what is said. Is that a good program for that still, or are there others? A man at our church is looking for something he could feed the announcements and such from microphone into a program which would automatically print into the computer what is said. Am I making sense?
