Hi, I forgot to add if your friend has all the items in the sound settings checked off. then tell him to go into the silent /gaming zone settings and uncheck silent /gaming zone because if this setting is checked no voice or pop up message will display. but the second item should be checked off which is silent if a full - application is running. If he does this I am sure that the audio prompts will work in his avast program. hope this helps anna

I got him to open avast from desktop, he clicked on settings, ctrl+tabbed to the sounds tab, all the boxes in hear were checked. how do we get the audio promts? I have never used this virus program. ---original mesage--- From: "Mike & Barbara Arcadia" < [email protected]> To: < [email protected]> Subject: Re: [Blind-Computing] avast 5.exe Message-ID: < e4f8eb741d024c98ae544d6aa206b...@mikepc> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" HI David; I haven't used Avast in quite some time but, try the following ; 1. Open Avast. 2. Assuming you're using standard unskinned interface, alt s, followed by s. 3. Scroll down the tree till sounds is highlighted. 4. Tab to "enable Avast! sounds" check box, and press space to check it. 5. Tab to ok and activate it. These steps are for an earlier version but, hopefully they will help. Take care.
