Hi,
I know that this subject has been discussed many times before, but I
am just now taking the plunge to use this software. I have several
questions that I hope that someone can answer for me before I start.
First of all, I did listen to David's tutorial on using image for
windows which I found most helpful and quite easy to understand.
1. I downloaded the trial version. I would like to try it before I
purchase the software. Does the trial version do a full image of my
hard drive? I am assuming that this is true, but you cannot do a restore?
2. I already installed the trial version that was bundled with image
for DOS and image for Linux. Since I have two windows computers, SP
and Windows7, do I need these two other image programs? Can I redo
the installation just for image for windows? Or does it matter and
just leave everything alone?
3. Finally, I know that you cannot boot the system from an external
hard drive backup. If I choose to do it that way, how does one then
do a bootable restore?
I know that this post is rather long, but I want to fully understand
what I am getting into. Currently, I am doing a windows system backup
of my hard drive at least twice a month, but XP home edition does not
create a bootable floppy disk like it does in the pro version.
I want to thank all for any suggestions and help in advance.
Take care and have a great day!
Lennie
Mike, does Doctor Phil have anymore room on his couch?
