First thing you have to sign up with your local NLS I think so you can get onto the site to download the digital books.

Your gismo I've not heard of, but must work like the Victor? Just plug the cable into a USB port on your computer and then to the device or a flash card, and then you go to the site find the book/magazine ya want, and if you've ever downloaded anything, it works the same way, only you have to choose the drive this player is listed once you know so it goes to it instead to your computer. So you might check in my computer once it's plugged in and see what drive it is. Like for the external hard drive I have, it's drive J. So when the download thingy pops up asking you where to save your book to, you either arrow to that drive or if your lucky it might be there by default, but it's best to make sure so you know where it went to so ya can find it, smiles.

Good Luck,

Patricia

Subject: [Blind-Computing] downloading question

I recently acquired the cartridge/patchchord kit, from Maxi Aids, to be used for downloading from the Library Of Congress.

I'd appreciate any information as to how to correctly download a book or magazine.

Sincerest thanks, in advance.
