Hi Marilyn,
The link I sent was just for the products, no specific card in mind.
You can determine what sound devices you have on your computer in at least 2
ways.
I say devices, because Windows XP will recognize a USB headset as an audio
device, or soundcard.
1. Go to the control panel, then sounds and audio devices.
2. when this dialogue opens, you will be on the general tab, on the first
setting, so shift tab once
and you will be on the general tab, left arrow twice to get to the audio
tab.
3. tab once, and you will be in a group box of the playback devices installed
on your machine.
you can arrow up and down thru this list.
As you tab thru the controls, you will see other information.
If you don't want to make any changes, then tab to cancel and leave the
dialogue.
The other way is also found in the control panel, under system.
Open the system dialogue, and you will find yourself on the general tab,
again, right arrow until you come to the hardware tab.
Tab once, and press enter on the device manager button.
When the device manager opens, tab once and you will be in a tree-view of
the devices installed on your machine.
You can arrow down thru this list until you come to
sound, video and game controllers.
press the right arrow once to open and you will find your soundcard listed
here.
When done just ALT + F4 to close out.
HTH,
Rick Justice

Rick, I went to the creative link. Is this just one card or several? It
says something about drive. Also, is there someplace on my computer where
my present sound card is listed? How would I check that? Thanks much.
Marilyn
