I mean so far I have noticed that their extra things in some programs that I have used. Alternately, the installation seems simple with Windows 7. If you don't like for some reason or another then you could just re-install the Operating System to 32 Bit.

That is why I said make sure all your components will support it. Also in a few years w64 bit will become standard, and since windows 7 offers both versions it does not hurt to give it a whirl. But to be perfectly honest us blind users with the stuff we use, in essence nothing graphic intense and high end computer games, the benefits as far a performance are going to be minimal. Compatibilty will steadily improve but it all depends on how old your applications, software versions and hard ware is. If they support 64 to begin with. Also make sure that all devices like maybe your scanners printers etc. support 64 bit and drivers are readily available or drivers will be ainstalled by the O S as you cannot use third party uncertified drivers anymore like in the past, to my knowledge.
