Hi Chris, Sometimes plugging external drives into a Vista machine will generate a "do you want to fix this" question. You can always try that. My guess is that it somehow got powered off or disconnected accidentally during a data transfer. If that doesn't help, it's on to something like: Recuva, Lost & Found, Smart Data Recovery or Recover My Files Hope you get the files back!

When she opens it in Windows Explorer, no files are showing, yet it's spinning. It would also seem that Windows Vista told her that the recycle bin on that drive has been damaged. What should she do short of a format, as she's got stuff on there she'd rather keep? Thanks in advance for the help. -- Chris Hallsworth e-mail: [email protected] MSN: [email protected] Skype: chrishallsworth7266 Why not join the Deaf Blind Support group by sending a blank message to [email protected] Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Visit the Blind Computing home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to [email protected] For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: [email protected] Use the following address in order to contact the management team [email protected] If you wish to join the JAWS Users List send a blank email to the following address: [email protected] Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Visit the Blind Computing home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to [email protected] For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: [email protected] Use the following address in order to contact the management team [email protected] If you wish to join the JAWS Users List send a blank email to the following address: [email protected]
