Patricia cCleaner does offer a registry backup function! So if you click yes 
on that screen it will backup the registry before cleaning it. Not sure how 
you'd restore it though.

I thought there were some issues with reg scrub for xp?
I use to have it as well, but it was not listed on David's web site..
This c cleaner seem to be good except a few issues like in Reg scrub I know
you can undo something or restore it back if something is amiss and not sure
if this c cleaner offers this.
Now about a good year and more ago, I had installed that super anti spyware
and that caused me some big time problems.
I would sure love to have the instructions on how to install winamp 3.50
please please please...
