Well, it's 1 month after upgrading to 0.9.26 and it STILL leaves only 4
dirs. The original first one and the last 3. I have BiT setup for root
user and also for user 'oernii', I paste ls -l from both backup
directories:

<r...@nook 15:35:52>/root<19>$ /bin/ls -l /BACKUP/backintime/backintime/
celkom 16
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 2009-12-31 00:20 20091231-000002
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 2010-01-03 00:19 20100103-000002
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 2010-01-10 00:19 20100110-000004
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 2010-01-11 00:17 20100111-000002

<r...@nook 15:35:54>/root<19>$ /bin/ls -l
/BACKUP/oernii/backintime_oernii/backintime/
celkom 16
drwxr-xr-x 3 oernii oernii 4096 2009-12-31 00:12 20091231-000002
drwxr-xr-x 3 oernii oernii 4096 2010-01-03 00:11 20100103-000002
drwxr-xr-x 3 oernii oernii 4096 2010-01-10 00:11 20100110-000004
drwxr-xr-x 3 oernii oernii 4096 2010-01-11 00:08 20100111-000002

Is anyone using this feature (smart remove)?

PS: I have BiT 0.9.26 setup also on another server (also mandriva 2009.1) and
there are also only 4 directories.

Status in Back In Time: Fix Released

Bug description:
BiT is set up to backup some folders every day and smart-delete some older. But
it deletes all of them, only the last 3 days and the first one remain. This is
my destination folder:

$ ls -l /BACKUP/backintime/backintime/
total 16
dr-xr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 2009-08-21 00:04 20090821-000013/
dr-xr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 2009-11-18 00:07 20091118-000004/
dr-xr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 2009-11-19 00:08 20091119-000003/
dr-xr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 2009-11-20 00:07 20091120-000004/

BiT is set to delete:
- older that 10 years
- if less than 1GB of space ( which did NOT occur )
- smart delete
- do not delete named snapshots.

It happens on 2 mandriva linuxes, Version: 0.9.20. Installed from RPM
backintime-gnome-0.9.20-1.fc10.noarch.rpm
