Upstream we use gksu, it is changed to su-to-root in the ubuntu packages, however it seems to be a very neat solution for a common encountered problem. Are there any strong arguments not to switch upstream, eg what is the availability of su-to-root on other distributions, like Suse, or Fedora, or is it a specific ubuntu implementation?
