Public bug reported:

Due to a file system problem unrelated to BIT - the program could not
write its config files.

Once that happens unpredictable behavior is encountered (program freeze)

Since this happens easily due to .gvfs files - program support is
required.

It is best to have the program check the validity of writing to the
directories required, and then fail gracefully, as well as support
return to default values in config files, and worker directories.

In my case I deleted everything, unlocked the .gvfs uninstalled, and
started again. (not as easy as it sounds since I had to search for file
locations as user, file locations as root, and solve the .gvfs lock)
