Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 14:00:00
Total observation time: 7 hours

Official Counter: Harold V.

Observers: Cary Graham, Dave Brown, Ken Wootton, Su Ross-Redmond,
                  Tom Bolohan

Visitors:
A few visitors today but unfortunately, not much to see. Thanks to Harold,
Tom B, Tom S, Su, Ken and Carey for helping with todays count.

Weather:
The winds were promising BUT it was too damp and in fact it lightly rained
on us a couple of times. There was a lot of cloud cover for most of the
count period. Temp started at 9C and got to a high of 19C. Pressure was
steady.

Raptor Observations:
Not much of a flight today with just 326 birds tallied the bulk of which
were TVs (250) and Sharpies (51). Also noted were Osprey (2), singles of
Bald Eagle and Am Kestrel, a couple of Merlins, a few Redtails (15) and N
Harriers (4).

Non-raptor Observations:
On the other hand the passerines were really moving through with a ton of
sparrows around the viewing platform and along the road including
Lincoln's, Swamp, White-throated, White-crowned, Song and a few Juncos.
Several warbler species were seen again today with multiple Northern
Parula, male and female Black-throated Blue, Black-throated Green, Palm and
lots of Yellow-rumped. At least a couple of Blue-headed Vireos and a ton of
RC Kinglets with a few GC Kinglets thrown in. Also starting to get small
flocks of E. Bluebirds moving through. A very vocal Raven flew low right
over the viewing platform headed west.

Predictions:
Watch the forecast for the coming week as the models are predicting NW, NE
and E winds across the region for a few days. If this pans out the timing
would be very good for the first good push of Redtails, Red-shoulders and
Golden Eagles (we've already seen several go through).
