----------------------------------------------------------------------

Observation start time: 06:00:00
Observation end time: 14:00:00
Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter: Harold V.

Observers:

Visitors:
Thanks to Harold V for recording tody's count and for several visitors who
helped out.

Weather:
Light winds initially from the NE but backing fairly quickly around through
E then ESE and finally to the SE. Basically no clouds for the day making
spotting any migrants nearly impossible. Temps continuing on the warm side
from 14C to 23C.

Raptor Observations:
Today's small flight highlights how key the wind direction can be to
whether the flight is along the lake shore and passing the hawk watch (by
northerly winds) or is being pushed inland (by southerly winds). The other
issue today was the complete lack of cloud cover making spotting migrants
very difficult.

The total flight was just 259 birds... with only 84 Broadwings tallied. A
small number of other raptors also were counted.

Non-raptor Observations:
Monarch count: 45

No report of non-raptors was provided today.
