Weather: Very strong wind from the SW, increasing during the morning. Temperature a comfortable 18 degC, overcast initially, gradually clearing. Raptor Observations: Very few flying today, only the ones who like the strong wind such as the Falcons and the Harriers. Non-raptor Observations: Great to see American Pelican (13) flying west over the marsh, new for the season together with American Crow. Otherwise the strong wind limited list diversity. The list is at https://ebird.org/checklist/S271631265 Predictions: Lower windspeed tomorrow, with wind from the west. Cloudy with a reasonably comfortable temperature of around 18 degC. Hopefully the calmer conditions will encourage more to fly. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Hugh Kent ([email protected]) Holiday Beach Hawk Watch information may be found at: http://hbmo.ca/ More site information at hawkcount.org: https://hawkcount.org/siteinfo.php?rsite=100 -- Ontbirds and Birdnews are moderated email Listservs provided by the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) as a service to all birders in Ontario.
