Weather: Temps 16C-18C. Wind moderate NW. Extensive cloud cover. Raptor Observations: 3 weeks from now, I'd expect a lot bigger numbers with winds like today's, but the early date and the cloud cover made for a small flight. A handful of Broad-wings; 3 adult Bald Eagle that seemed high and direct enough to be non-locals. Non-raptor Observations: Pretty quiet for non-raptors as well, but a young Red-headed Woodpecker showed up (twice?). eBird list here: https://ebird.org/checklist/S270263731 Predictions: Sun and modest NW until at least midday may allow for more early migrants to make their way along the Cliff. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Chris Burris ([email protected]) Hawk Cliff Hawkwatch information may be found at: http://www.ezlink.ca/~thebrowns/HawkCliff/index.htm More site information at hawkcount.org: https://hawkcount.org/siteinfo.php?rsite=392 -- Ontbirds and Birdnews are moderated email Listservs provided by the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) as a service to all birders in Ontario.
