Volunteer(s) needed with a Common Tern study in the Long Branch Area

I am in the 2nd year of a study of a Common Tern nesting colony near Colonel
Sam Smith Park in the Mimico area. The terns arrive at their breeding colony
15-20 minutes before sunrise coming from the west...the direction of Long
Branch. At this time of the year, they do not roost overnight on the colony
site. Last night (May 2nd), I observed terns (presumably from the nesting
colony) flying west past Long Branch Park. I am looking for a volunteer (or
two) to help count the number of terns flying west....and to find their
roosting site, if possible. This would involve about an hour's watch during the
last hour of daylight, 20-30 minutes before and after sunset. If you are
interested in this little adventure, please call or text me at 647-631-4329.
