My apologies I thought I sent this Saturday evening. These are up to the moment preliminary results from our CBC covering Oakville and Mississauga with reports still coming in. The count was held on Saturday December 14. Approximately 34 participants in 16 parties. Current total of birds counted 28507
At this moment we have 82 species not counting the photographed Ancient Murrelet from Bronte Harbour (we are counting it). Also new to our count was a previously reported Black-and-white Warbler from Joshua Creek at the Southeast Oakville Sewage Treatment Plant near Lakeshore and Winston Churchhill. The continuing Northern Parula at Sedgewick Forest was found. A Rusty Blackbird was photographed in Rattray Marsh. 4 Sandhill Crane were also reported from Rattray (no details)' The Credit River was frozen in many places. Day start calm cool and winds. Wind and surf off the lake became brutal as day progressed. No snow cover anywhere.
