Weather: NW winds throughout the period -- rather weak at ground level, seemingly stronger up higher. Complete overcast throughout the observation period. Raptor Observations: Despite the absence of precipitation, the count was a surprising near-washout. Non-raptor Observations: A few non-raptors were around to help us pass the time -- most notable were 3 Sandhill Cranes that flew low, directly overhead, calling. eBird list here: https://ebird.org/checklist/S202720734 Predictions: Sunday looks like a switch to moderate south winds, so don't expect much. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Chris Burris (ravenrunningh...@gmail.com) Hawk Cliff Hawkwatch information may be found at: http://www.ezlink.ca/~thebrowns/HawkCliff/index.htm More site information at hawkcount.org: https://hawkcount.org/siteinfo.php?rsite=392 -- Ontbirds and Birdnews are moderated email Listservs provided by the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) as a service to all birders in Ontario.
