Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 13:00:00
Total observation time: 6 hours

Official Counter: Tom Bolohan

Observers: Jeff Skevington, Richard Skevington

Visitors:
A few visitors today including Richard, Jeff and Alexander S... thanks to
them and to Tom B and any others that were there for helping to get today's
count done.

Weather:
A nice fall day for hawk watching today with a good mix of sun and cloud.
Winds were steady and moderate from the NW for the morning but backed to
straight W around 1:00 pm and the flight literally shut down. Temps were
comfortable from 8C to a high of 18C.

Raptor Observations:
A pretty good flight today especially since it shut down just after lunch.
Total raptors today was 6,509 with a really big push of Broadwings with
4,665 crossing in the 10:00-11:00 am hour and a total of 6,033 Broadwings
for the day. A decent flight for several other species as well especially
Northern Harriers (51) and another lone Peregrine.

Non-raptor Observations:
For non-raptors reported check out the eBird reports for today by choosing
"Explore" and then "Hot Spots" and put in "Hawk Cliff".

Predictions:
The forecast is calling for NE winds to start but unfortunately backing to
SE which isn't the best for big flights at the cliff.
