----------------------------------------------------------------------

Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 10:00:00
Total observation time: 3 hours

Official Counter: Hugh Kent

Observers: Bob Hall-Brooks, Liz Kent

Visitors:
Thanks to Bob for the early morning observation assistance. No visitors
today.

Weather:
Humid with a temperature of 26c, initially. Light wind from the south
increased to moderate with gusts as the rain came in across the lake.
Reduced visibility and heavy rain at times bought the count to an end late
morning.

Raptor Observations:
Two Merlins, a high Osprey, and a Northern Harrier and American Kestrel
along the shore were all for this short day.

Non-raptor Observations:
A lot of activity in the first two hours with lots of Great Egrets (59)
gathered in the Marsh along the shore treeline waiting for the rain.
Warblers and Vireos were chasing the many insects that had settled on the
trees around the Tower in an effort to get some food before the rain. The
list is at https://ebird.org/checklist/S149145845.

Predictions:
Wind from the west tomorrow, with lower temperature and the possibility of
light rain in the afternoon. Hopefully a slight decrease in temperature
will encourage more Hawks to get on the move.
