Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 10 hours

Official Counter: Nicole Shangi

Observers: John Hall, Noel Herdman, Olga Klekner, Roland Klekner

Visitors:
I can't thank Olga and Noel enough for all of their incredible help today
on the tower. I couldn't do it without you! Thank you to all of our other
interested visitors to the tower today as well.

Weather:
The weather today was perfect. Cool, partly cloudy and a northern wind. It
was a great day on the tower!

Raptor Observations:
We had an amazing day today. We counted so many raptors including a new
addition: red-shouldered hawk! We counted over 6000 broad-wings today
unexpectedly, this late in the season. There were over 4000 in the last
hour.

Non-raptor Observations:
We were slightly preoccupied with counting raptors that we did not see much
in regards to passerines. There were almost 20,000 jays today. Olga's eagle
eyes caught a very tight group of American white pelican flying over the
lake which we were so excited to see!

Predictions:
Tomorrow looks slightly warmer and less cloudy. We are hoping for a
northern component wind throughout the day and hopefully we have another
good broad-wing day!
