Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 9 hours

Official Counter: Nicole Shangi

Observers: Klekner, Olga, Michelle, Pratt, Paul

Visitors:
I thank Olga for her sharp eyes and keeping me company today.

Weather:
The temperature was hot today, basically cloudless. There was a north wind
for a couple hours in the morning and it switched to south for the rest of
the day. The wind was very light

Raptor Observations:
There were few raptors today likely because of the southerly winds. Despite
this, we still counted large numbers of Sharpies.

Non-raptor Observations:
There were more birds during the morning than the afternoon. There was
quite a bit of construction noise at the base of the tower which may have
caused a decrease in birds. This morning we were delighted when ten
Northern Flickers landed in the willow tree across from the tower.
See here: https://ebird.org/checklist/S118400551

Predictions:
Tomorrow should be a few degrees cooler and possibly cloudy, which might
make seeing raptors easier.
