Weather: Great weather again today with Southwest wind the whole day. Warmed up quite a bit by the end of the day. Raptor Observations: We saw a handful of raptors today. Two juvenile Northern Harrier with cinnamon colouration gave us a show above the marsh as well as an early morning juvenile Peregrine. A few adult male American Kestrels are of note as well! Non-raptor Observations: There were far less warblers today than yesterday, although we still have some birds of note including Rough-winged Swallows and two Sandhill Cranes who stuck around the marsh for a few hours. Predictions: The weather this weekend looks to be very similar to the last two days. Fairly warm. Hoping to see more raptors to continue our upward trend and more waterfowl as the waterlilies on the marsh die back for the season. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Nicole Shangi ([email protected]) Holiday Beach Hawk Watch information may be found at: http://hbmo.ca/ More site information at hawkcount.org: https://hawkcount.org/siteinfo.php?rsite=100 Count data submitted via Dunkadoo - Project info at: https://dunkadoo.org/explore/hbmo/hbmo-hawk-watch-fall-2022 -- Ontbirds and Birdnews are moderated email Listservs provided by the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) as a service to all birders in Ontario.
