Good morning birders, Overcast skies with strong south-west winds met the birders who went out to the Tip. There was a first summer LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL. Also noted in a tree near the Tip a LEAST BITTERN and BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO. A MOURNING WARBLER was seen in the woods north of the Tip washrooms, and from Post Wood seasonal path north of the Sparrow Field a GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH was found. A CONNECTICUT WARBLER was heard at post 17 on Woodland Nature Trail near the north end of Redbud seasonal trail. Several PROTHONOTARY WARBLERs were seen in the sloughs along the trail as well. PHILIDELPHIA VIREO and many BLACKPOLL WARBLERs were found too. A number On Redbud, a YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT was reported towards the south end.
