A cold front moved into the Park early with a slight rain, and bird activity didn't get going until about 10 am. It has been quite slow for birds as well the last couple of days. But people are still finding a good number of species. At the Tip this morning a GLAUCOUS GULL was noted. A female SUMMER TANAGER, was located along the West Beach Footpath about 200 m south of West Beach Parking lot, moving south. The WORM-EATING WARBLER was noted again about 200 m north of the Dunes Picnic area, along the bicycle path. On Woodland Nature Trail, the PROTHONOTARY WARBLERs continue to put on a show, but also found was a female HOODED WARBLER, just to the west of bridge A. Last night a CHUCK-WILL'S WIDOW was heard in Dune Picnic area. A BLUE-WARBLER was seen on the Cactus Field.
