This afternoon. April 4th, I found a rather active winter wren, Troglodytes hiemalis, in the woods on the west side of Frenchman Bay in Pickering. From highway 402 take Whites Road south to the lake and turn left, go to the end and park. The wren was only about 30 metres north of the parking lot, on the west side of the trail.
