BLACK-BELLIED WHISTLING-DUCK (Niagara): The long-staying Dufferin Islands bird was reported October 22-24 this week. Eurasian Wigeon (Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry): A male was reported from the Long Sault Parkway October 22. King Eider (Bruce): A female was off Kincardine October 25 and 26. Harlequin Duck (Chatham-Kent): An adult male flew by the lake shore between Rondeau and Morpeth October 28. Harlequin Duck (Simcoe): A female-type bird was photographed off Collingwood October 27. Barrow's Goldeneye (Ottawa): A male was at Bate Island October 24-28. Eared Grebe (Chatham-Kent): One bird was photographed on the lake off McGeachy Pond October 27. White-winged Dove (Thunder Bay): The bird found last week in Shuniah was reported again at least October 24-26. GROOVE-BILLED ANI (Perth): An amazing find just outside of Stratford, this bird was found October 24 and viewed by many October 25-26. Hudsonian Godwit (Norfolk): The two birds at Turkey Point continued to at least October 24. Red Phalarope (Halton): One bird was reported off Burloak Park October 25. Red Phalarope (Hamilton): Up to three birds were reported of Van Wagners Beach October 25. Red Phalarope (Norfolk): One bird was seen at the tip of Long Point October 26. Pomarine Jaeger (Hamilton): It was a good week for this species at Van Wagners Beach with daily highs of at least 2 (Oct 25), 1 (Oct 27), and 6 (Oct 28). Pomarine Jaeger (Lambton): One bird was seen off Point Edward October 26. Long-tailed Jaeger (Hamilton): One bird was off Van Wagners Beach October 25. Long-tailed Jaeger (Lambton): One bird was seen off Point Edward October 26. RAZORBILL (Ottawa): At least one Razorbill continues to be seen regularly all this week between Constance Bay and the Champlain Bridge. Black-legged Kittiwake (Chatham-Kent): One bird was seen east of Rondeau October 28. Black-legged Kittiwake (Halton): One bird was photographed off Bronte October 28. Black-legged Kittiwake (Hamilton): Daily high counts from Van Wagners Beach were 1 (Oct 25), 1 (Oct 27), and 9 (Oct 28) Black-legged Kittiwake (Lambton): One bird was seen off Point Edward on Oct 26 and 28. Black-legged Kittiwake (Nipissing): One bird was photographed in the north arm of Opeongo Lake Oct 26. SLATY-BACKED GULL (Lanark): An adult was photographed at Mississippi Lake Oct 24. SLATY-BACKED GULL (Ottawa): The long-staying Ottawa bird was reported through the week, mainly from the Trail Rd landfill site and the Moodie Dr. quarry pond. Pacific Loon (Bruce): One bird was off Kincardine October 24. Pacific Loon (Chatham-Kent): One bird was east of Wheatley October 24. Pacific Loon (Durham): One bird was reported off Darlington PP Oct 23. Pacific Loon (Hamilton): Three birds flew by Van Wagners Beach Oct 28. Cattle Egret (Brant): One bird was in West Dumfries Township Oct 24-28. Cattle Egret (Essex): One bird flew over Point Pelee Oct 23. Cattle Egret (Norfolk): One bird was just outside of Port Rowan Oct 26 and two birds were in Booth's Harbour Oct 28. Cattle Egret (Northumberland): Up to four birds were along Huff Rd near Brighton Oct 23-24. Black Vulture (Essex): One bird flew over Holiday Beach Oct 28. MISSISSIPPI KITE (Halton): One bird flew by Woodland Cemetery Oct 22. White-eyed Vireo (Toronto): One bird was seen by several observers at Ashbridge's Bay Oct 24. Yellow-headed Blackbird (Hamilton): One bird was in Saltfleet Oct 27. Yellow-throated Warbler (Halton): One bird was seen by many at Bronte Bluffs Park Oct 22-24.
