Weather: Light NE winds till they died out just after noon ending the flight. Cloud cover was variable from 40% to start then building to 80% before completely disappearing just after noon. Humidity continued to be more comfortable as over the past several days. Raptor Observations: Not a bad flight over the course of the 4 hour count period with a total of 326 tallied.... mostly BWs(278) along with Osprey (4), a lone Bald Eagle, N. Harriers (13), a few Sharpies (6) and a single Cooper's Hawk and Am. Kestrels (23). Non-raptor Observations: Nothing reported today. Predictions: We're not expecting much of a flight at the hawk watch tomorrow on moderate SE and S winds as this pushes the flight (if there's a flight at all) inland away from the lake shore. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Dave Brown ([email protected]) Hawk Cliff Hawkwatch information may be found at: http://www.ezlink.ca/~thebrowns/HawkCliff/index.htm More site information at hawkcount.org: https://hawkcount.org/siteinfo.php?rsite=392 -- Ontbirds and Birdnews are moderated email Listservs provided by the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) as a service to all birders in Ontario.
