Hello Birders, I have been monitoring the number of egrets roosting overnight at the Hamilton Wetlands, west of Demorestville, for several years. I see egrets feeding...and read eBird reports of them feeding at several marshes in the County but I do not know of any other roosting sites or major feeding areas (i.e. wetlands with more than 1s and 2s) in the County. If you know of any other roost sites (I heard from Terry Sprague that there was one near Ameliasburg...but could not locate it) or marshes where 3 or more egrets regularly feed in the County, I would appreciate hearing from you. Please email me at [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>. or text to 1-647-631-4329. Many thanks, Chip -- Ontbirds and Birdnews are moderated email Listservs provided by the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) as a service to all birders in Ontario.
