BLACK-BELLIED WHISTLING-DUCK (Norfolk): A flock of 16 birds was discovered on July 8 on the edge of Port Dover; they were present most of the day. CHUCK-WILL'S-WIDOW (Prince Edward): The Hilltop Rd bird is back for its eighth year. A second singing bird was reported on July 6. Willet (Lambton): One bird was on the beaches at Pinery Provincial Park July 4. Western Meadowlark (Middlesex): One bird continued on Newbiggen Drive near Glencoe this week. Blue Grosbeak (Norfolk): A young male (and reports of a second bird) was found July 4 in the field at the SE corner of Hwy 24 and E Quarter Line, north of Port Rowan and continued to at least July 8.
