Hello Ontario Birders...  ( with a bit of delay...) here is the video of the
Variegated Flycatcher in Brooklin, Whitby ON..      https://youtu.be/-qLWWRwEV34
You may want to give yourself time to search. So far today Nov.18, as I
understand, it has not been seen
yet.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Directions as per Mike Burrell
Brooklin is in the north end of Whitby. From the intersection of County Rd 12
(Baldwin Street) and Hwy 7 (which becomes County Rd 3/Winchester Rd to the
east) go east for about 500 m to the Luther VipondMemorial Arena. Parking is
available here. Walk south towards the large white communications tower turning
west (right) after the tennis courts and skate park. There is a trail
immediately west of here that goes over ashort wooden bridge. Follow this trail
for about 400 m when it opens up a bit and there is a bench. The flycatcher
spent most of yesterday in this general area, sometimes moving up the slope on
the east side of the trail, visible from the field on the other side.
Approximate location: 43°57'05.4"N 78°57'16.7"WPlease consider wearing a mask
while viewing the bird
