Hi there, I would like to add a bit of detail for tomorrow’s OFO trip that I will be leading in the Point Pelee area near Leamington, Essex County. It is labelled a birding photography trip, but I want to make it clear that any birders are welcome to come along, camera or not. We will focus a bit more on photography than typical OFO trips but it will also be a great opportunity for high quality birding.
As posted on the OFO website, the plan is to meet at 7:30 am tomorrow (April 6, 2019) in the large square parking area of Mersea Park on Point Pelee Drive near Mersea Rd C. In case anyone wishes to join the group a bit later than that we will spend some time at The Tip of Point Pelee National Park first, then eventually visit the Marsh Boardwalk and/or another trail if there is enough time before lunch. If there is enough interest from the group we will likely continue into the afternoon. The weather is forecast to be pretty comfortable tomorrow! Please remember that The Tip of Point Pelee is often windier than the local weather forecast suggests, so I suggest bringing a bit warmer clothing just in case. Tomorrow will be a lot of fun no doubt, and I look forward to seeing you there!
