Observation end time: 14:00:00
Total observation time: 6.5 hours

Official Counter: Craig Evans

Observers: Jeanece Seals, Theresa Lindsey

Visitors:
It was the last day at the tower this year for Jeanece Seals and Theresa
Lindsey from Nashville, Tennessee. Thanks for you keen eyes and lots of
help during your visit! 6 other visitors made their way up the tower today
including Dan and Diane from Michigan, and Jude from Chicago.

Weather:
It was very light to almost no wind from a southeast direction throughout
the day. The temperature began at 4.5 C and increased gradually to 11.3 C
in the final hour. It was a mostly cloudy all day and there was a haze in
the air at times, which reduced visibility.

Raptor Observations:
It was a very slow day for raptor migration. A late adult Broad-winged Hawk
was observed today.

Non-raptor Observations:
Despite the lack of raptors, other passerines continued with their
migration. 2 Carolina Wren were heard singing to each other. More Song
Sparrows then usual were around the tower today.
A few Tree Swallow continue to be observed flying overhead. Red-winged
Blackbirds continued to migrate in large numbers today. A few Rusty
Blackbirds landed in nearby trees allowing for good observations. Blue Jay
numbers increased making today their highest total in over a week.

Blue Jays - 1570
American Crows - 1550

Predictions:
Heavy rain and winds from the southwest are predicted tomorrow morning.
However, the rain should end by about noon and the winds are expected to
shift to the northwest. Hopefully there will be some good raptor migration
in the afternoon tomorrow.
