Today at 2:00 P. m. in mixed precipitation, I had a first winter Harris's
Sp[arrow at my feeders. It had a tan sides of face with a dark cap, white
belly with a distinct necklace. It was just a little stockier than the
White-crowned Sparrows feeding around it and there were surprisingly no
fights, as the White-crowned Sparrows always bully the other birds and each
other.
