In addition to Adam Timpf's post I just wanted to give everyone a heads up
that the Long Point area has been very bird the last few days and today is
no exception.

While searching for the Townsend's Solitare I spotted a White-eyed Vireo
and a Clay-coloured Sparrow just out the park gate. There are tons of
sparrows and lingering warblers about as Adam mentioned.

Waterfowl numbers continue to increase in the area and out hawk flights
have been quite good lately.

For those interested in chasing the Townsend's Solitare I have not refund
it yet but we figure its somewhere close by.
Likely more rarities to be found in the area!

LPPP is located at the terminus of highway 59.

Good birding,

Brett Fried
